Your Co-op Money

Select your brands, enter rough annual spend, and answer the claim question to see what you're leaving unclaimed.

Why This Money Goes Unclaimed

Co-op is the best-kept open secret in the equipment business: manufacturers reimburse dealers 50–75% of qualifying marketing spend, brand by brand. But the money comes with strings — pre-approvals, brand guidelines, claim deadlines, proof-of-run paperwork — and during the season, nobody has time for strings.

So it expires. Year after year, at dealerships everywhere, marketing money that was already earned goes back to the manufacturer untouched.

The fix isn't working harder — it's structuring your marketing so claims are easy: one campaign per brand, creative that follows the guidelines, and a paper trail built in from the start. That's how we build campaigns by default.

Co-op FAQ

What is co-op advertising money?

Most OPE manufacturers set aside funds to reimburse dealers for a percentage of qualifying local marketing — typically 50–75% of what you spend advertising their brand. It accrues based on your purchases, and in most programs, unused funds expire at the end of the program year.

Why do so many dealers leave co-op unclaimed?

Three reasons come up constantly: the paperwork (pre-approvals, claim forms, proof-of-run documentation), not knowing what qualifies, and simply not having time during the season. The money doesn't roll over — so every year it goes unclaimed, it's gone.

What marketing qualifies for co-op?

It varies by brand, but qualifying spend usually needs to feature that brand prominently and follow their logo and creative guidelines. Brand-specific campaigns — one campaign per brand, using approved assets — are far easier to claim than generic dealership ads that mention five brands at once.

Can LJ Crisp help me claim my co-op?

Yes — we handle the co-op process alongside the campaigns themselves. If your brand's program requires pre-approval, we help you submit for it before the campaign runs. Then when it's time to claim, we submit the reports and campaign data your manufacturer or distributor requests. You get the reimbursement without chasing the paperwork.
